Summary: Dont waste your money or time!
Comment: This product is not supported by the company. They give you only the most basic, rudimentary information. There is no FAQ's, Troubleshooting, or General Help info for the product. there is no 800 line to Tech Support, only a long distance number to Rhode Island.
I purchased this product and the installation went exactly as it was supposed to, according to the directions. Only, when I went to actually use the unit, there is no VIDEO!!! I tried on two different computers, and no video, only audio.
This was the biggest waste of 200 dollars in my life. The hours of endless frustration trying to make this device do what it was designed and marketed to do is not worth the ridiculous price point for such a terrible, inferior product. Avoid this like the plague.

Comment: The converter was fairly easy to use and does a great job with regular size VHS tapes. It does have a problem when using VHS-S adapter for 30 minute cassette tapes. It tends to skip and make a knocking sound. The tracking adjustment did not help. Otherwise the results were better than expected.

Comment: I just bought a VCR 2 PC, and it rocks!!! I have all sorts of stuff on VHS that I've been dying to get onto my computer and digitize, and finally somebody came out with a converter box that does this very easily and quickly. This VCR is perfect. The software that's included is very straightforward, and does exactly what it says it will do. I was able to import my video and make some basic edits in Windows Movie Maker. It's not a bad little VHS player either. And you cant beat the price!

Comment: The ION Audio VCR 2 PC USB VHS Video to Computer Converter is a help but is still not the answer for clean reproduction of your old VHS movies. It will not let you backup old VHS tapes you own either.
This unit is better than nothing but needs improvement, including the software and directions.
