Summary: Horrible DVDs coaster after coaster
Comment: So far have been only able to burn 3 out of 10, most of them cant even begin to burn and the rest stop half way through. Worse brand had HP brand media before and never had a problem with any of the DVDs never buying this brand for DL, I used way back cd-r memorex and did not have a problem but the DL is a whole other issue avoid at all costs!

Comment: I purchased these disks after a recommetdation from a friend who also had used them. I read some of the reviews on here and it sounded like people had a lot of problems with them. I would like to say that I have used them and have not had any problems with them. They are a great disk and especially for the price.

Summary: Dicey, but if you're lucky...
Comment: I bought three spindles recently. The first two were failing terribly. The third performed quite well.

I also notice that, using three different burners, I got much better performance from one over the other two. One burner could not do these at all, at any speed, even though the burner was rated to do dual layer media. The second burner, which came built-in my Apple MacBook Pro, purchased in March of 2008, has been very disappointing with all dual-layer media. This burner is terrible! But, on an outboard Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-116D, I got flawless burns from one out of the three spindles. I have decided to stop trying any dual-layer burns on the Apple built-in burner.

But, these discs seem to be okay, as long as you don't get a defective spindle, which seems to be just as likely as not. As long as Amazon continues to honor it's customers' return and replacement requests, then it's not too bad of a gamble. For the price, and if they are in fact not defective, then these represent a great value. A great value, as long as you're willing to deal with a potential struggle with defective media and the return and replacement process. Anyone willing to take on dual layer burning should be prepared for a bumpy ride anyway.

With all that said, I will still give them a four-star out of five rating, as I have not found any acceptable alternative.

Summary: Very reliable DL DVDs
Comment: I'm getting ready to purchase my third spindle of these. I never have to throw any away from a bad burn. In my opinion, the current price (about $0.69 per disc) is excellent for a DL DVD of this quality.

Summary: Seems like a good deal, but at least 50% didn't work!
Comment: I bought these earlier this year to copy DVDs to send to my husband in Iraq. Almost every time I burned a disc, though, I went through at least one, if not more, discs that didn't work. The drive works fine on other discs (i.e., a set of Maxell DVD+RWs, and some Sony CD-Rs), so I have to conclude it was just a bunch of faulty disks. What a bummer.
