Summary: Microsoft Streets and Trips
Comment: I always buy this software when I upgrade a system. It works great when you are traveling in an RV and want to know your way around no matter what town or State you are in. I usually print out the maps for areas we plan to look around. It also suggests campgrounds, places to eat and etc.
I usually print out the map without the directions to save paper. I also use it at home when I want to see where something is (friends house, shopping, etc).

Comment: I thought this new version would be better than the 2005 version...NOT SO!
First: You can only copy this on One computer...the 2005 version. can be copied as much as you want. If you format your CPU...you will not be able to install it again...just so you know.
Second: The maps are not much different than the 2005 version.
This is the last Microsoft upgrade I purchase!

Summary: Microsoft Streets & Trips 2009
Comment: This product is a nice update from the previous version that I have (2006 year). Since I don't use GPS nav or driving direction machines, I didn't need to pay extra for all those functions that I wouldn't use - this lower cost version, offered at a good price by Amazon.com, fit the bill very nicely. Some of the quick buttons are a little different, but you still get the same high-quality results from this program. I find that it is more accurate than MapQuest. Another nice function is the link to go on-line for highway construction updates, so that you know what to expect on your trip. I've used this type of program for many years, and highly recommend it to anyone who needs driving directions, to view different city/location maps, etc.

Summary: streets and trip 2009, new look
Comment: Well they gave it a new look, I guess I just got spoiled by earlier versions where you set up your font and font size, which hiways you prefer to travel, (I don't use toll roads for example) readjust your travel speeds. and set it. now you every time you run a trip, then go back and reset it how you want it, they still havent fixed the on screen directions, so please be carefull. she will tell you to take a left and the map will show it is a right, if you take a hiway to its end to meet another hiway, it will give you the exit number for where you will join the new hiway (instead of 0 it will tell you to take exit 45)just watch it closley it can still be helpful

Summary: Good GPS
Comment: I have owned Streets and Trips since the 2004 version and have owned all but 2006 (Last of Pocket Streets and Trips. Version 2007 would not run Text to Speech application after the Windows Media 9, would not even load the application after loading Win Zune software because it updates to Media player version 11.

Had to update and I tried Streets and Trips ver. 8 with GPS and FM reciever and wasn't impressed with the MSN live updates on gas and the subscription thing.

I ended up ordering just the MS Streets and Trips ver.9 and was happy. The maps still export to Pocket Streets and Trips ver.5 that I am running on my HP IPAQ 3970 with Holux 270U compact flash GPS reciever.

Great Product.
