Summary: Nice Looks, Poor Software
Comment: The phone looks nice and is made pretty well. It held up to daily use in my pocket for over a year and I never gave much thought to protecting it. It survived drops to the street. It survived a complete soaking while I was caught in a rain storm with the phone in the pocket of my cycling jersey. I liked the small size a lot.
The software on the phone, however, is complete garbage. I don't know how it is that Motorola sells so many of these (and it's older brother, the RAZR). The menus are slow and unresponsive. Setting the alarm takes - at minimum - 7 clicks (with lag in between). That's assuming you are simply enabling an alarm you had already set up. If not, prepare for another 5-10 clicks. Alarms may not be an important feature to you (or to me really), but you can expect a continuation of this maddening user experience in all other areas. I don't have a single nice thing to say about the software.

Summary: Useless, unreliable phone
Comment: I got this phone as a free replacement when my Nokia 6133 started having sound problems. This was supposed to be a free upgrade, a kind of "we're sorry" for the issues I had with the Nokia.
This was a serious downgrade in every aspect.
Here's a quick list of various problems I have on a regular basis:
-People send me a text message and my phone rings instead-- I don't get the actual message for several days
-People call me, but I'll get a "Missed Call" message without the phone ever ringing
-People will say that they called me, but I get absolutely no indication of a call (though sometimes I'll get the "Missed Call" message... several days later)
-I hit the Reply key when I get a text message and the entire phone shuts down
-The entire phone frequently freezes for no particular reason
-I hit a key (usually in response to a text message) and the phone's screen will go white and make a strange clicking noise
-Frequent dropped calls, poor sound quality, echoing, and more!
This list is not comprehensive. There are so many weird one-time occurances that it would be impossible to list. Bottom line, this phone is worthless. Don't even get it for free.
On the plus side, though, it makes a good alarm!

Summary: MOTO KRZR
Comment: I personally LOVE this phone. I'm the kind of a person who always carries a mirror with me, (because I check a little bit obsessively) but I LOVE this phone's design. The front is a mirror and you can check yourself out. It's also really sleek and pretty tiny. It fits perfectly in my palm and I love it.
I switched from a Samsung phone and I must admit that there were a lot more features on that phone (like making up a speed-dial # for everyone)and a many others I can't remember because I've had my KRZR for over a year now. I would either get the KRZR or LG Shine probably because I am completely sold for the mirror exterior thing. Overall, unless you're looking for the mirror exterior thing like me, you should probably get a Samsung or LG for more exciting and useful features.

Summary: Indestructible
Comment: Greatest phone ever! Dropped it many times, still hasn't broken itself. I even slammed the car door on it accidently, only a small crack. Still works. Must get for active people!
