Summary: Easy set up, Easy to use
Comment:
I would recommend this phone. Not too many bells and whistles, easy to use, reliable, good sound quality.

I purchased additional handsets to go with my Panasonic KX-TG9341T phone system, giving me the maximum 6 phones for the system. Satellite phones were easy to program to the base. All phones share a common address book, so that was all I needed to do.

You can opt to have the phones announce the name on caller ID. This seemed like a great idea at first (and comes in handy if you are away from the phone with your hands full and want to screen your calls), but I found that having all phones announcing the caller at once was too much noise. Now, I only have a couple of the phones announce the caller. Perfect.

I would recommend this phone system.

Comment: Phone is great. The only issue is that the CID doesn't display two lines at a time. It alternates the name and the number, so you can't see both at the same time. You can edit the name, so if it says out of area, you can change it to Mom's Cell or something like that so you can see right away who it is. If you do that for all the ones that don't show correct name, then it's perfect.

That's the only con I've found and it is fixable with the edit function.

Summary: No more static!
Comment: I'm very pleased that, unlike a 5.8 telephone by another maker, this 6.0 telephone eliminated the static produced by our computer setup . We have six of them now in addition to the base set.

Summary: OVERALL BEST QUALITY CORDLESS PHONE
Comment: GOOD: Sound quality, range, appears to completely surpress interferrence. Uses rechargeable AA batteries that are easy and inexpensive to replace (thank you Panasonic). Can individually program each handset to auto-answer when picked up from the recharge cradle.

BAD: Display and TALK/OFF buttons text fonts too small to read without glasses (not great for older eyes). Not so much a problem once you get used to the phone and know which buttons are which. Display backlight goes out after about 2 seconds, apparently can't be programmed to stay on longer. Press any button and it comes back on, but that doesn't help you find the button you wanted. Other keys are not back-lit at all; tough to dial in the dark. Handsets hang up when placed back in the recharge cradle--that's mostly okay, but if using speaker phone for a long call, it would be nice to allow phone to keep charging in the cradle yet remain connected. Apparently that's not one of the programmable options.

WISH FOR: Color code TALK (green) and OFF (red) buttons. More than 6 handsets (current system limitation). Corded handwet for base unit, to allow 6 cordless handsets AND make base unit operatational during power failures.

OVERALL: Better quality than the competition. Uniden has better display contrast and corded base-unit handset on some systems, but lacks Panasonic's sound quality and range. Panasonic beats VTech for sound and build quality, VTech batteries hard to find and expensive to replace.
