The plug is so short that you are constantly plugging and unplugging it. To dump the water out into the sink, you have to unplug it. On mine, the auto shut-off didn't work, so it just kept boiling. When you pour it, it ran all over the side as well as in the mug. I am totally returning this thing.

Comment: It's winter - we drink a lot of hot tea. This used to mean limp microwaved tea or waiting half an hour for the teakettle on the stove. Now we have hot water for tea in just a few moments! Plus, this electric kettle is 'greener' than the stove or microwave. It's fabulous! I can see why everyone in Europe has one.

Comment: The kettle is really good for the price.
is does not take long until the water boils and i takes till 1 liter.
The only thing with bothers me a bit is that you always have to unplug the wire and that the kettle itself gets really hot.

Comment: I love mine so much, I had to buy several more for friends. I use mine almost every day, sometimes several times a day and it's going strong as ever. It heats water very quickly, plus it's compact and easy to store. I would buy another and another. A great value.

Comment: This electric kettle exceeded my expectations. Lite and efficient. I took it to Morocco and New York. Worked well, however remember when you leave the country you need a power adapter that has a ground plug. Not all of them have that. Fine anywhere in the USA and Canada.
