Comment: The Snore Wizard took me a week to get used too.
Week 1 - Jaw discomfort/slightly sore teeth upon waking
Week 2 - No more jaw or tooth discomfort
Week 3 - Like wearing nothing at all
PROS
1) Allows partner to sleep without interruption
2) Reduced my daytime sleepiness
3) Great price compared to products from the dentist
4) Type of plastic is very flexible and strong
5) Easily stores with convenient holder
CONS
1) Edges are abrasive to the gums (in some areas) at first for myself
2) Product only lasts up to 9 months according to packaging
3) Must sleep on side for it to be most effective for myself - This is in the directions for use
4) Initially - I found the product to come loose - your mouth seems to adjust to this after a few weeks

Summary: Still snoring, but softer
Comment: It does work in bringing the jaw forward and preventing back of the throat snoring, however I am snoring now from the point where my nose connects to my throat (uvula). As this is quieter and allows more air into my lungs this is an improvement, but it is just a temporary solution until the paperwork goes through on a cpap machine.
My gums are a little sore from the edges of the rubber, but not to the point that eating or drinking is uncomfortable. My mouth gets very dry two or three times a week from breathing through the front hole instead of my nose, but that is less painful than snoring.
I put it and the storage case through a cycle on my dishwasher, and it is still intact. I do that once a week for a thorough cleaning, and use rinsing with a little listerine rubbed on it during the week to keep it after daily use.
I have only had one time that I found the mouthpiece next to the pillow in my bed, so I am able to keep it in. I had a bit of jaw pain that went away after a week or so from using it, but every morning it takes 10 to 15 minutes for my jaw to move back to its normal position where my teeth fit together properly. No problem, as I am getting dressed, etc. during that time period.
Update 11/19/08: I have had to stop using the snore wizard due to chest pain. My tongue was blocking the mouth hole in the snore wizard forcing me to breathe only through my nose, and my nose was closing up. It was like trying to breathe through a straw, and my lungs were aching and sore in the morning. Yes, the snoring was less, but my lungs and probably heart were being really pounded by the extra effort to breathe. Not recommended.

Summary: Doesn't help at all
Comment: I ordered one of these and tried it for 1 week. Not only did it not help my snoring, I wake up in the middle of the night drowning in my own drool and in the morning I feel as if I was kicked in the jaw by a horse. Throughout the day it takes about 4 hours for my jaw to stop hurting. This was an absolute horrible experience.

Summary: it works, but...
Comment: Okay, I read the testimonials about SLIGHT DISCOMFORT, or TAKES SOME GETTING USED TO, etc...
Slight discomfort is a pebble in the shoe. This thing HURTS LIKE HELL for the first few nights. "Getting Used To"? You can "get used to" anything, even prison time.
I'm no dummy. I took the reviews and put my Junior College education to use. Here's my unsolicited advice: Put it in an hour or two before bedtime for about four or five nights. Don't sleep with it, just wear it before bed to get used to it. THEN after a few nights put it in for the full night. It works. Prepare to wash your pillowcases as you will drool by the the bucket.

Summary: It works
Comment: I tried both a c-pap and bi-pap machine for sleep apnea. I could not get used to either of them after trying for several months. The snore wizard works great. It took about a week to get used to. I would wake up and it would not be in my mouth. Now its been about a month and I am used to it and it really helps the sleep apnea.
I did have to trim both the top and the inside bottom part to make it more comfortable, but it does work and I would recommend it for anyone with sleep apnea.
