Summary: GREAT PERFORMANCE FOR LITE-ON BURNERS
Comment: I have an older Lite-On DVD burner, and it can be finicky about the media I use. I settled on Verbatim a long time ago, and all I can add is that staying within limits of speed on DL discs (2.4x, 6x) these work perfectly. I made a huge mistake buying 8x Verbatim DL, and my burner will not process them at any speed. Funny, the 8x DL work fine on my Sony Combo DVD/VHS writer at 1X, but only the 2.4X +R DL work with my PC Lite-On. Perfect burns every time, even at 6x - no coasters.

Summary: Never a problem
Comment: I had problems with another brand but my memory fails me on its name. Every disk failed. Then I purchased the Verbatim and was happy when the first disk recoreded a full two hours at high quality without a problem. And I haven't had any problems with these disks. I highly recommend the Verbatim disks. A little more expensive up front but they perform. Never a Memory problem to fill the landfill.

Summary: Simply the best
Comment: I can't say with any degree of technicallity what burner I'm using but I've burned these on 3 computers (mostly using DVD Decryptor) and have never had a failure in over a hundred burns. There were some slightly defective copies in the beginning when I tried to decrypt with DVDD and burn with Nero (movie menus sometimes didn't work) but once I started burning with the decrypting software that cleared right up. At the moment my computer is a new Lenovo dual core running Windows Vista with the stock burner and it works great. I don't know why people disparage an entire manufacturer because they can't use a product correctly but if you check the numbers you'll see these work for a lot more people than not. There might be garbage involved somewhere but I don't think it's the discs, and certainly not all of them.

Summary: Still the Best - On Amazon at Least
Comment: Verbatim has been known for making the most reliable DVD DL's out there. Now there is some controversy with them because while other brands have remained consistent in quality (Sony, etc.) Verbatim has outsourced some of its production to India, where the quality is just nowhere near the level which was expected of it when it manufactured these disks exclusively in Singapore. The Singapore disks are still top-notch though, and they are precisely those that Amazon is offering here. You're better off buying Sony or TDK than going for those MII (Made in India) Verbatim disks, but at least these Verbatim disks are the same quality they've always been - far superior to anything else out there.

Summary: Great
Comment: Burned 8 discs already at 2.4x , no coasters yet. Have not tried higher speed burning.
