Summary: #2 envelopes are very thin
Comment: I bought these #2 envelopes & they are very very thin. I have bought better ones that are a little more expensive & they are much thicker & better quality. When I am mailing my books to customers it is very important to make sure the envelope is not so thin the corner of the book punctures a hole, because the book can be damaged. Depending on what you need the envelopes for you might not want to get these if you are using heavy items or items with corners like books.

Comment: Since I joined Swaptree ( swaptree.com ) to trade books, having a good supply of bubble mailers on hand became urgent. These fellers came in at the best price I could find and the quality seems indisputable. This particular size (8 1/2 x 12) works great whether I'm mailing a hardcover or a paperback -- or a DVD, for that matter. There's a good layer of bubble wrap lining the inside and "wings" at sides and bottom outside to help protect contents from bumps and bangs. And, let me tell you -- the glue they use to seal the envelope is mucho macho. I just hope the price remains reasonable so I can get a new supply when I use these up because, yes indeed, I will order these again.

Comment: I've ordered these before and each time service is fast and without problems. HOwever, this time the bubble mailers seemed a little "thin" and don't seem to offer as much protection as in the past. I might have to shop around for a "heftier" product.

Most of the competition uses a 46 lb paper and stops the bubble an inch or so short of the flap.
