Summary: All in all, a good bag.
Comment: While the bag is a bit smaller than what I would consider a standard messenger bag, I was happy with that because I use it more for an everyday bag rather than for school books. The dozens of compartments are helpful for organization as long as you can remember what goes where. The cell phone pocket is very large and will accomodate even ancient gigantic Zack-Morris-style cell phones, though it is a bit annoying for more recent smaller phones. Many of the pockets have velcro closures which should provide easy access, but the material has a lot of give and generally you need two hands to open any given pocket, which is the only reason I'm giving the bag a four instead of a five. In general, the bag is a great purchase and I would recommend it for a tote, large purse, or small school bag (the "one binder and three folders" of a previous review sound about right).

Comment: the Bongo Messenger Bag is actually a nice little bag. It's just that -- little. The image makes it look like a standard bag but I could barely fit a binder in it. Not recommended for school use if you want to carry books. I fit one binder (barely) and 3 folders.

It's good, I suppose, if you carry a smaller load.

Summary: Affordable and stylish
Comment: I use this bag for school and it works very well. Sometimes I only carry my lunch, but other days I'm carrying several books. Either way it holds them quite nicely and there have been no damages to the straps or zippers so far. Although I don't use the many compartments often, they are quite handy on a few occasions. The two outer compartments are quite useful for holding things when you want quick access to them.

The bag is small enough to fit in my locker but large enough to carry several books/notebooks, and looks great at the same time. I recomment the matching Bongo purse to go with it =)
