Summary: Great Phone
Comment: I really like this phone. I got it for Christmas and have not been disappointed at all.
Pros: First of all I upgraded from an old LG flip phone and I was never quite satisfied with it because I was unable to make or receive phone calls from my home in the country due to poor reception, but this problem of poor reception has been completely nullified with the Krave. I have yet to drop a call and I can even access the mobile web with great speed from my home. The Krave also has great battery life. I can listen to hours upon hours of music and I find that I still have 3/4 battery. This is very comforting to know that it won't die on me when I need it most. The touch screen is really responsive on both the front cover and the actual screen itself. Lastly the phone is quite pretty to look at. I find myself admiring it from time to time.
Cons: The biggest con with the phone is that you cannot listen to music and surf the web(or take pictures, etc.) at the same time. That would be so useful if you could multitask. Also, as with any touch phone, the screen is be a fingerprint magnet.

Summary: Crave the Krave?? I did.
Comment: I love this phone.. like others thought, I hate the fact that all the menu items arent accessable through the closed cover, the only two I use are the pics and music...wish I could get rid of or change the other two (TV and Vioce Mail)... hopefully a firmware update will do that?? (c'mon MOTO dont let us down!!) I love the full size head phone jack although I do use the moto blue tooth headphones (got em here on amazon too) what I do hate is the micro-mini usb jack, why not just use the regular sized one like on the Razr? Now I need to go buy another cord so i can hook this phone to my PC.. the music player sounds great, like any other MP3 player out there, the cam is ok but it could use a small flash.. and MOTO needs to get rid of the corny musical ringtones and please give us at least one game for petes sake.. (oh yeah they are super expensive to buy games from as well...) but all that aside, Im happy with it.love the virtual key board, works great and the vibration when you touch a key is alot nicer than the Blackberry storm's click!

Summary: Very nice phone. Good enough extras.
Comment: Most reviews of this phone on the web are neutral to negative, and I don't get it. This phone is solid, never crashed or froze like some have reported. The full size headphone jack is awesome. Looks nice, the case doesn't scratch very easy. Camera takes 1600x1200 pictures. The wall charger is tiny.
Once I read the manual, and got used to where to touch, I don't think I will ever go back to a "normal" phone. The screen is big, bright and attention getting. The speakerphone, call and voice quality are top notch. VZ navigator, visual voice mail and Vcast TV are surprisingly good. In my opinion the horizontal tap keyboard is better than the iphone and the storm. It seems to get less errors.
Things that could be better. No thin aftermarket case, just those stupid belt holsters. No flash or mirror on the camera. Read the manual, some things are impossible to "learn" without reading.

Summary: Wish I loved it
Comment: I wanted to love this phone. For 2 weeks I tried but it was never gonna work so we had to break up. Nice looking - one could almost say it was HOT but overall, frustrating and therefore useless.
Touch screen technology has a long way to go before it matches the response of a real keyboard. Unless you have really tiny fingers (and my hands are not huge) its incredibly easy to keep hitting the wrong keys and that happens....A LOT. Even when making a call. And the annoying feature of having the dialpad disappear when you make a call makes retrieving messages another painful process.
Response is slow. Scrolling through contacts is a drag and if you dont hit the screen just so, it will open a contact rather than allow you to scroll down the list.
It's great that a qwerty keyboard appears when you turn the phone sideways but the flip makes typing nearly impossible (that flip is in the damn way of your left thumb although a thumb is probably too big to hit a letter) and unfortunately the size of the phone makes that keyboard really too small to breeze through. It took me a ridiculously long time to spell even one word correctly because I had to hit the "i" 5 times before it knew I wasn't trying for an "o" or a "k".
Another great NON-feature is that you cannot adjust the touch screen sensitivity.
Its a beautiful looking phone but it sucked the life out of even making a call. Too many things to press before you could even see a list of recent calls you'd made.
So if looks are all that matter, it sure is purdy but don't be in a rush to do anything with it. It's too complicated for its own good.
p.s. - its also a fairly heavy phone. It won't give you muscle strain. I just mean compared to most mobile phones of that size, you'll be suprised by its weight.
Traded it in for an ENV2 and couldnt be happier. Give me an actual keyboard any day (although the Ipod Touch at least has a MUCH better virtual keyboard response)

Summary: Voice Activation not up to speed...
Comment: I bought this phone so I could see who called on voice mail and have the phone talk to me, please read out the phone numbers or "id" of the person calling so I could take the call or not if I was busy or talking on another phone.
The voice mail is nice, tho it cost is $3 per month. But the auto dial sucks. The voice synthesizer isn't up to speed yet, and I can't recognize the names of those who are calling, even when I go thru the procedure to sharpen the recognition. I miss my old candybar phone with simple one button activation of who you call the most.
This phone makes you wait until it is ready to accept things such as voice activation of a call, drop the phone away from your ear and you have to unlock to do anything with it..which takes time, and taking another call while using it is a pain.
It is a pretty phone tho...if that matters to you....I would not buy this phone again...and will wait for better products to come to market..then switch.
Oh...one last thing...the battery sucks power significantly when you use the voice recognition, voice activations, and vibration. One day....tops...
