Comment: I have used this product in tagine dishes. It adds just the right amount of kick to the ingredients. I use about a tablespoon and that is enough without being overbearing.

Comment: this is the greatest! it is not just hot, but has a flavorful hot. i put it on everything, especially sandwiches. it has replaced my hot sauce on my nachos. also great on pizza. so glad i came across this product.

Comment: This is a great harissa product. I use this at the Big Water Grille to flavor our couscous. I also use it in sauces like a harissa cream that I made the other day that was served with a smoked duck lasagna that we were running as a special. This spice is so much fun to work with, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Harissa is a classic table accompaniment in Moroccan cooking and at the Moroccan table. Mustaphas Harissa is the gold standard and nothing sold in here in the USA can really compare. Made mainly from Moroccan hot red chiles, red bell pepper, olive oil, a touch of tomato, oil, salt and spices. It is an essential accompaniment at the Moroccan table, and almost as ubiquitous as olives. Mustaphas harissa is served alongside couscous and tagines, it has an unforgettably intense, slow burn that will spice up any dish - each diner can stir it into the accompanying dish to suit personal taste. Its relatively salty quality takes to lifting the flavors of milder foods such as couscous. You can serve tiny dabs of harissa as a side sauce for grilled and roast meats and poultry, or use it as a general flavor booster for stews, soups and sauces. If you're looking to create an authentic Moroccan meal, this is an accompaniment.
