Summary: Not natural
Comment: I bought this thinking it was a natural & safe sleep aid. I read that it is supposed to help people suffering from IBS. Desperate times call for desprate measures & my sleep wasn't great, so I figured it was harmeless to try. Since then I have become a tad bit more educated on Melatonin. The main thing a person needs to know is that prolonged use of Melatonin can reduce the bodies ability to create it's own Melatoinin making you dependent on it for sleep. This hardly sounds like a good thing to me. I would like to hope that this is a least a safer alternative to those nasty prescription pills out there and if you truly need a sleep aid, then this might be your best & safest shot.
Not Natural:
On the Natrol Melatonin bottle in the Supplement Facts it says
Melatonin (synthetic) 5mg.
This in combination of the possibility of becoming dependent on it for my precious sleep, has brought me to the decision to immediately stop taking these!
On a final note: I didn't find that I slept any better or worse while taking these. You may want to consider buying one small bottle & trying it out first before commiting to a 3 pack here on Amazon if the risks mentioned above are not a concern to you.

Summary: Finally, something that works!
Comment: I've always had difficulty falling asleep (the dreaded "snowball" effect) and trouble staying asleep. I thought about trying the prescription sleep aides like Ambien and Lunesta, but have heard unpleasant stories from friends and colleagues (sleepwalking and memory loss were the most common side effects they talked about). Anyway, I started taking this at night, and have never slept so well in my life!! The only side effect I was bothered by was that I had really vivid dreams for the first few nights. Be prepared for it; it's very common. It does go away and was never bad enough for me to stop taking it. It's a small price to pay for a good night's sleep, am I right?

Summary: Life saving!
Comment: I've worked 3rd for many years now and 6 months ago I began to loose sleep caused by tossing and turning and unable to stay asleep for more than 2 - 3 hours. I tried everything I could think of and even resorted to alcohol and Nyquil mixed ... yeah, really. Well, not too long after that I discovered this and it turns out I made a wise choice and it has helped me get my needed 8 hours once again. I don't wake up with a hangover from a sleeping pill and it's a natural product. I take it 20 - 30 minutes prior to going to bed and I fall asleep fast and get a great sleep. When nothing else worked ... and when I say worked I mean getting 8 hours of good sleep followed by waking up feeling like a had a good night sleep! I hated waking up feeling as tired as I did prior to sleeping. This helped. Try it. You have nothing to loose!
