Summary: nothing but a gimmick
Comment: I was pretty excited about getting this book. The advertisments make it sound like this book will give you TONS of useful information about natural cures and such...but it doesn't. The MAJORITY of the book is actually just more ranting and raving about how the SYSTEM is so bad and that doctors and drug companies are corrupt....if you have ever seen the infomercial just imagine taking what the guy says and repeating it over and over and over in as many different sentence structures as is humanly possible.
As far as natural remedies...there really isn't much useful information about that. I think there may be one or two chapters that tell you things like "people who exercise are healthier" and "taking vitamins can help keep you from getting sick" blah, blah, blah....nothing you couldn't read by googling "natural remedies".
Bottom line, don't waste your money on this book.

Summary: A Breakthrough.
Comment: For years I'd often thought and wondered if something was being put into our food supply to make people ill, then people would take drugs for their illnesses. Then I read this book a few years ago. It was amazing to read about the conspiracies mentioned in the book. What Kevin Trudeau mentions about corporate greed and government corruption is not too far-fetched.
We see many ads on television promoting patented drugs, and yet never see any ads promoting non-patentable natural remedies. Prior to the early 1990s, I don't recall seeing any prescription drug ads on television. Today, we are lucky if we see only one prescription drug ad per commercial break. I've spoken to a couple of Naturopathic Physicians who have both said that they have been successful in treating medical conditions, and yet a lot of what they do may be considered illegal by federal law.
Aside from the stories of government and corporate greed, Kevin Trudeau mentions a lot of things we can do and offers many resources that we can research, mainly in Chapter 6, in order to have a positive impact on the quality of our lives. He also includes some Natural Cures newsletter articles as well. I call this book a breakthrough, because it has caused so many people to become interested in, or at least consider taking a look at, alternative medicine. It definitely sparked my interest and encouraged me to research and study the many different aspects of alternative medicine. Now I have the mindset that good health is not difficult to achieve or maintain, and even seems common sense.
To good health.

Summary: Natural marketer
Comment: Much good advice but this man is a self interested marketer. None of the info is organized in a table of contents or index and when you do find your problem you are steered to his website which then charges 9.95 PER MONTH to access the cure. You will be MUCH better off with the Phyllis Balch book Encyclopedia Of Nutritional Healing which describes the maladies and what may help cure them. Do yourself a favor and don't give this shameless marketer your hard earned bucks.

Summary: There is some good advice but I don't know what to think of Kevin Trudeau
Comment: First, about Kevin Trudeau, I believe with his history of deception and fraud its hard to believe good things about him even if in the book he says that he has changed. I am more inclined to think that he is still trying to scam people. This book makes very bold claims that it has the cures for virtually 100% of all diseases but yet there only a short list of diseases and the cures and they aren't very clear or helpful. So Kevin Trudeau is making misleading claims about what is exactly in this book. If people go to read this book in order to find specific cures or treatments for their ailments, this book will not help out. The title and most of the text is extrememly misleading which makes me think that this book is just a scam. The idea of natural remedies is not a scam, you can find countless other books, websites and newsletters with solid scientific facts, written by credible doctors and experts all over the place. Anyways, the majority of the book also goes on and on and on about how the FDA and FTC and drug companies are only trying to make money and are not concerned with the health of the American people. I believe there is obviously some truth in that but again the title of the book says it contains natural cures, not conspiracy theories, even if they do have some truth to them. On the other hand there is very good advice on living a healthy lifestyle. No one can say that eating less processed food and more natural organic food is not an extremely healthy lifestyle change to make. And who would say that trying to cut down and eliminate the amount of toxic chemicals you take in from products we use and the environment is not an extremely smart healthy thing to do? What I mean by that is this book doesnt really have what the title claims to have in it, but it does tell what you should do to start living a healthy lifestyle that could quite possibly keep you from getting sick and maybe even cure a condition or ailment you might have. For that reason alone, I believe this can be a very helpful book for people who might not even know what living a healthy lifestyle is all about. For me, I started exercising and lifting weights on a regular basis, eating more natural, whole, unprocessed food and less "junk" food, taking health supplements and trying to cut out some toxic stuff out of my life long before I read this book. Most of it is just common sense, really. In conclusion, I would not recommend this book at all. There is too much repetition on how bad the FDA, FTC, drug companies etc.. are bad and evil and not enough of the good health advice. You can find much better books on the subject and articles on the internet. Plus the fact that Kevin Trudeau isn't the most trustworthy guy in the world based on his history and the fact that he doesnt supply much evidence for his claims in the book. There is definitely a place for natural remedies in this world but I wouldn't get my information from this book even though there is some very good advice in this book, its just hidden among the other mumbo jumbo. (the reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1). Just do some research of your own and you can find plenty of other good books on the subject. Or better yet, find a doctor the specializes in natural remedies and talk to them. I hope my review has been helpful since there are so many reviews on here that just praise Kevin Trudeau and this book even though it has obvious flaws, and an equal amount that just bash him and the whole idea that natural cures and treatments can work.

Editorial Review for Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About:
Kevin Trudeau blows the lid off a nest of deception and double standards concerning general and individual health in this new book, "Natural Cures 'They' Don't Want You To Know About." Kevin has risked government prosecution to bring you the full story of an intricate conspiracy. From the retail supermarket outlets of huge, publicly traded corporations comes processed, manipulated, engineered "food products" – produced by other wings of the same corporation. These artificial, toxic treats are then sold with the blessings of the Federal Trade Commission and Food and Drug Administration – government organizations charged with safeguarding the public good – laying the foundations for future disease and chronic ill-health for the consumer, and a guaranteed source of revenue for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
Kevin reveals the shocking truth of how drugs – which are being advertised directly to the consumer, pushing their use to an all-time high – are actually the cause of illness and disease climbing to near epidemic levels.
And, though it sounds dire, Kevin offers a light in the darkness and directs the reader to scores and scores of alternative therapies, medical practices, philosophies and – most importantly – potential cures that help your body regain its natural state of health and vibrancy.
So follow Kevin on an amazing journey through the behind-the-scenes world of corporate sponsored "nutrition" and "health," and learn about "Natural Cures 'THEY' Don't Want You To Know About."
