Planet Bike Blaze 1/2-Watt LED Bicycle Light with Helmet and QuickCam Mounts Reviews
Customer Rating:

Summary: great light, bright, standard batteries
Comment: I bought 2 of these to use on my beach cruiser. I mounted them under the front basket and when they're on I can't be missed. they provide adequate light to see with as a pair and in flashing mode it be really hard to not bee seen. I often use one flashing and the other not as the best combination of being seen and able to see.
A nice light.

Summary: Great commuter light
Comment: This is a great light for commuting. I bike commute to work everyday in the Chicago neighborhoods. Cars on the street see this light very well. I can tell I am more visible with this light than my last one because I've had fewer close calls since buying the Blaze. I can see it reflecting back off of street signs over a block away. It's the perfect "be seen" light for its price range.

Summary: Bike light
Comment: Nice & bright for 1/2 watt & it's easy to remove from the bracket for all you security conscience people like myself.

Summary: not very bright
Comment: I commute daily to work. This light is not very bright. The beam is narrow. It slides on my narrow mountain bike handlebars. I spent about $125USD on a brighter and wider light. I recommend getting Planet Bike rear lights, but not this front light.

Summary: Very Bright
Comment: A friend of mine bought a $150 light similar to this one for his helmet and recommended it for night riding.
When I went to the Planet Bike web site, the light wasn't available. But this one was, and it looked pretty similar.
It's a great spotlight - really nice for aiming from atop my helmet to see details on the road ahead. In fact, on a dreary Seattle morning, I can see the light in front of me.
I'm quite happy with the power this light has. I haven't used up the first set of batteries yet, so I can't comment on battery life.
