Summary: Is it really Cool?
Comment: Well, I've used my CoolDaddy for the first time and the food turned out great! Fry time was great. The basket worked like it was supposed to. It had easy cleanup. However, I've read the other reviews and nobody mentions that the CoolDaddy is not Cool at all. I accidentally touched the outside housing while frying my food and burned my fingers! Now, while there are no blisters to be had, my fingers were sore for a minute or so after I touched it. So buyer beware, if you are looking for a real "cool touch" deep fryer just as this Presto COOLDaddy boasts, you will be disappointed. I must say though, that it is cooler than the regular non cool touch deep fryers. So other than that, everything is great!

Comment: We did a little research, found the Presto Professional CoolDaddy Electric Deep Fryer....and are very satisfied. We had to fry a lot of Okra for Christmas, and it was wonderful, easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store. I strongly recommend.

Comment: I love this fryer. It heats up VERY fast and is so easy to use and clean. I really like the fact that the lid stays closed while the food is frying so there is no risk of oil splattering and burning you and making a mess on the counter. The filter also eliminates any odor and is really easy to replace.

Summary: NOT TOO BAD ! !
Comment: The quality of the construction is kind of flimsy and not too impressive. Although, it works just great. Just be careful when you are frying, the lid is down and you reach for the handle to raise the basket. There is a small gap at the top where the handle meets the fryer. You can get scalded because the heat and steam rise up through that gap and if you do not hold you hand and thumb back a tiny bit further, that steam will get you. And....a disappointment about it is----it says that it has quick reheat recovery on it. When I take something out and wait for the light to go out which informs you that the oil is reheated; I put in something and (close the lid first) then lower the basket down. The book says it should sizzle and pop immediately because of the reheated oil. You know....like at McDonald's when you see them drop the basket of fries into the oil. IT DOES NOT.
The food sits in the oil with a little bit of gurgling and then in a few seconds, it begins to sizzle and fry. This was the main reason I bought it, because on Amazon it said about the quick reheat recovery. I am greatly disappointed.

Comment: I bought this deep fryer so that the scent could be contained very well and it worked well. I like the fact that you can actually clean every part that the oil comes into contact with by taking it apart. It can fry stuff very quickly and evenly without turning all the time. I will advice you to go for it because it does not look cheap like most of those i see on the shelves.
