Summary: Not Fast at all.
Comment: The product is not worth the money. My son has the scooter as well and it will out run the four wheeler. I would not buy this product again.

Summary: Awesome!!!
Comment: This was the best purchase we've made thus far for our 4 year old. He LOVES it and we are very happy so far. We just hope not to have some battery issues as seen in the other reviews.

Summary: Awesome quad, safe, clean, durable, quiet and fun!
Comment: Have had this for over a couple years and it is still going strong.
The frame is plenty strong to hold nearly anyone, the motor is a bit weak for anyone over 100lbs or so but works great for kids.
Although listed as "Reaches speeds up to 10 miles per hour" you would be hard pressed to get it over 8. That speed has been enough to keep my kids happy, faster then they can run long distances to visit the neighbors via the "off road" path, but slow enough to limit any injury due to an accident.
As they grow older I would like to see an upgraded version with a 650Watt motor instead of the 350Watt that would go about 15mph. After all, Razor has a line of dirt bikes with 350, 500, and 650W motors.
Perhaps a DIY project is necessary here.

Summary: After 1 year....
Comment: We bought two of these last Christmas for our 5 & 6 year old sons. Being a cautious person by nature, I was a bit apprehensive about the safety of a ride on like this. However, after seeing it in person at our local wholesale club, and comparing it to the quality of the similarly priced plastic ride-ons, I was sold. The quality of build is excellent. It has a heavy duty aluminum frame and pnematic tires. Needless to say, our boys were elated (as I would have been if they had toys like this when I was small). We set up in the garage, as there was lots of snow outside. (I would not recommend this.) Our oldest strapped on his helmet, got on and and hit the throttle. Before I knew it, he had come to a stop against my now broken storage shelf. As I said, this would be much better attempted outside. After examining the quad (and the boy) we concluded no harm done, and an excellent lesson learned. The next day, we tried again outside, with much better success. The boys very quickly learned to handle the quads, and were soon buzzing around like experts.
A year later, I can say without hesitation that it was an excellent purchase. We started a very large garden, and the quads came in for their share of duty when we were picking rocks. After pulling the wagon by hand a few times, my oldest son had an idea - he ran for his quad and asked me to help him hook up the wagon. Because of the sturdy metal frame, we were able to do so, and I watched carefully to see that they started with a small load. I didn't want an expensive toy broken. The quad pulled a load of rocks and a boy no problem. I admonished my sons to not overload the wagon and they continued hauling I don't know how many loads to the rockpile. They have used the machines all summer for everthing from picking up grass clippings, to racing and everything in between.
The units have been charged countless times with no problems. We typically get close to an hour of use out of a charge for normal playing. I see that there are multiple reviews with battery issues, but this was not our experience. I don't know that it is right to down-rate the overall score for an issue that the company is apparently more then willing to take care of.
Stability had not been much of an issue for us - we had one tip-over that I can think of with no harm done. This was caused by turning sharply on a hill. I would like if there was a parent controlled low speed setting for the smaller children. A remote disconnect would also be nice for the learning period. However, even my 3 year old can now run the quads like an expert. (Although I must say, he is one of those people that can do anything he tries, so I'm not sure that this is an endorsement for all 3 year olds. I wouldn't have put his older brother on it at that age.) Just make sure that they wear the appropriate protective gear.
All in all, one of the most used toys in our household by our 3 busy boys. Nothing has broken yet, and for anyone that has 3 little boys, this may in fact be the best endorsement of all.

Summary: Best ride on Electric
Comment: We bought 2 for our 5 & 7 yr old GIRLS! They absolutely love them; it snowed every week all winter so they learned to ride in the slick snow.....which was a lot more fun then the gravel that made them tipsy. The 7 yr old rides it up on 2 wheels all the time and jumps with it. We always keep them in during the cold to protect the batteries. They actually go alot faster and last 2-3 hours just fine. Now the one is broke down because they washed it and got something wet....Santa will be fixing it for under the tree! We are looking at the Razor dirt bike maybe for the older girl. I think they have learned alot about handling, & driving by playing with them. I can also ride it around the house and to the barn. I highly recomend if you have a large area outside....they will need it!
