Comment: this product is a pretty good buy for a low price. MIDI OUT/IN Are switch. Works Great With My Yamaha PSR 260. My Yamaha Is now hooked up with Reason 3, Fl(Fruity loops) 7, Mixcraft 4, Sibelius 5, and Guitar Pro 5. At first it was giving me latency but i figured it out. Comment: I picked up this cable in hopes of connecting my Roland TD3 electric drumkit to my mac via MIDI to USB. The connection seems to be spurratic and at first I thought I might have broken my USB ports because the little light on the cable wasn't coming on. I plugged it into a different usb port and everything seemed to work ok. When I plug other devices into the USB port I thought was broken they work fine. Which leads me to believe it's the cable.

When the cable is plugged into the other usb port, the connection from the drumkit to the mac seems to drop out. The pads will be responsive and show up in GarageBand for the first 10 hits or so and then nothing comes out.

I'm thinking the cable is borked and I'll definitely be trying to get a different one because I also want to adjust the drum settings in Guitar Hero World Tour and you need a MIDI to USB cable and it seems to not be working properly when connected to my PC.

I don't have the cables switched around like some other reviewers mentioned. Your mileage may vary but I think my cable has issues and I wouldn't buy this brand again.

Comment: I hate to give any product a one star, but I've tried for hours to see if there's any way to get this midi interface cable to work on my Acer laptop running Windows XP. I have a Yamaha psr-36 keyboard and no matter what midi sequencing software I run, the software says it "can't find midi input".

The red light on the cable does come and and the "in" light does light, but I'm thinking the "built in" driver to this is not correctly sending the message to the computer sofware. The "out" light never has come on.

I've tried all kinds of combinations in the control panel sound hardware section and nothing works to get the software to recognize the midi interface signals.
